Căutăm arhitecți pentru relevee și fișe de patrimoniu

Asociația B.A.C.U. (Biroul pentru Artă și Cercetare Urbană) documentează arhitectura secolului XX din România. O mare parte dintre clădirile pe care le urmărim nu au nicio documentație desenată. Unele au fost modificate, altele au dispărut înainte ca cineva să apuce să le măsoare. Căutăm arhitecți și studenți la arhitectură care să ne ajute să schimbăm asta.
Două feluri de a contribui
Fișe de patrimoniu și fotografie Documentare fotografică a clădirii și completarea fișei după metodologia din legislația română. Se poate face într-o zi. Potrivit inclusiv pentru studenți în primii ani. | Relevee de arhitectură Măsurători în teren, planuri, secțiuni și fațade desenate în DWG, axonometrii 3D. Muncă serioasă, de mai multe zile pentru o clădire. |
Poți alege doar una dintre ele. Sau doar o parte: doar terenul, doar desenul, doar fișa.
Cine se poate înscrie Studenți la arhitectură care au nevoie de practică și de lucrări în portofoliu, arhitecți la început de drum, sau profesioniști care vor să contribuie punctual, la un singur obiectiv. Pentru moment căutăm oameni din România. Ne interesează și documentarea în restul regiunii, dar începem de aici. | Cum lucrăm Lucrul se face pe obiectiv, nu pe ore. Stabilim împreună ce clădire iei și până când. Nu îți impunem un program săptămânal. Primești un model de fișă și de releveu, plus îndrumare. Nu te lăsăm să te descurci singur. Acolo unde este nevoie de acces în clădire, solicitările oficiale le facem noi. |

Scrie-ne un mesaj scurt
Spune-ne cine ești, în ce oraș, ce an de studiu sau ce experiență ai și cu ce programe lucrezi. Dacă ai relevee făcute anterior, chiar și lucrări de școală, trimite-le. Ne ajută mai mult decât orice descriere.

Architects wanted across the former socialist bloc
The B.A.C.U. Association documents the architecture of the 20th century in Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia. We already hold a large photographic archive. What is missing is everything that comes after the photograph: drawings, analysis, and files prepared to a standard an authority can act on.
What we need help with
Measured surveys Measurements on site, plans, sections and elevations in DWG, 3D axonometrics. | Heritage records Prepared according to the methodology in force in the country where the building stands. | Architectural analysis Typology, structure, materials, alterations over time, current condition. |
You can take one part or several.
Which buildings come first
We do not treat every building the same way. Priority goes to those under immediate threat, where demolition or major alteration is being discussed. A building at risk gets a full file. One that is stable can wait for a lighter record.
What happens with the documentation
It is published on socialistmodernism.com under your name.
In Romania, it can support a listing file prepared under national heritage legislation.
Outside Romania, procedures differ and in most countries only owners, local authorities or nationally accredited experts can initiate protection. We are a Romanian association and have no standing to file abroad. What we do is produce the documentation to the standard the national procedure requires, and place it in the hands of local organisations, professional bodies and authorities that can act on it. We cannot promise that any building will be listed. We can make sure that when someone is in a position to act, the evidence already exists. Buildings are lost because nobody documented them in time.
If you are an accredited architect in your own country, tell us. You may be able to file where we cannot.
Who can apply
Architecture students, architects at the beginning of their career, and professionals who want to take on a single building in their own city. No minimum number of years of experience is required.
How we work, and what you receive
| Work is organised per building, not per hour. We agree together which building and by when. | |
| You keep authorship of your work and your name stays on it wherever it is used. | |
| A model survey, a model record and guidance throughout. You are not left to work it out alone. | |
| A volunteering agreement under Romanian Law no. 78/2014, signed remotely wherever you are, with a certificate issued by the association at the end. It is our document, not a state document of your country. | |
| A letter of recommendation, on request | |
| Travel outside your own city is discussed case by case |
How to apply
Send us a short message
Tell us where you are based, your year of study or experience, whether you are an accredited architect in your country, and the software you work with. If you have previous survey drawings, including university work, please send them. They tell us more than any description.
